Born at the intersection of education and growth.
We didn't enter college counseling as outsiders. We built our way into it — through StudyCore, through the families we served, and through a firsthand understanding of what high-achieving families need and how they make decisions.
We understand the seasonal rhythms of admissions, the psychology of affluent parents making high-stakes decisions, and what it takes to build trust with families investing $15,000–$20,000 in their child's future.
We built GSG for this industry because we've lived in it.
The origin: StudyCore
The founding team built StudyCore, an SAT/ACT tutoring business, scaling it to six-figure quarterly revenue within months of launch — not by being better tutors, but by being better at finding and converting families who needed tutoring. That experience revealed the gap: education services providers are educators, not marketers.
Seeing the pattern repeat
While running StudyCore, we watched the same thing happen over and over: families who finished test prep immediately started searching for college admissions help. The demand was obvious, the spending power was there, and the counseling firms had no systematic way to capture it. Most were relying entirely on word of mouth.
Building the infrastructure
GSG was built to be the marketing infrastructure this industry never had. We connect the right families with the right counselors at scale — using the same growth systems that took StudyCore from zero to six figures, refined specifically for the college counseling market.
An unfair advantage
Our StudyCore partnerships give us something no competitor has: a built-in pipeline of high-achieving students whose families are already spending money on education and will need counseling next. We're not cold-targeting strangers. We're connecting families who are already in the education investment mindset with the counselors who can serve them best.
